As the 2022 General Elections draw near, Nelson Havi, the 49th President of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK), has launched a fundraising campaign to support his parliamentary bid in Westlands.

On November 9, 2021, Havi posted a statement on his social media pages, urging Kenyans to contribute to his campaign before the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) deadline on December 9, 2021.

“IEBC has set 9-12-2021 as the deadline for election campaign financing fundraising. Please help us raise funds to serve the People of Westlands and Kenya in Parliament. You may deposit your contribution to the PayBill Number below or in our account on,” he wrote.

With less than a year to go before the polls, the IEBC has initiated mass voter registration, aiming to register over 6 million new voters. By the end of the third week, the commission had listed 800,462 voters into their voters roll.
