Published on July 5, 2019, Eliud Kipchoge, the London and Berlin Marathon champion, is set to redefine human limits by attempting to break the two-hour marathon record in the INEOS 1:59 challenge in Vienna, Austria, in mid-October.
According to a video posted on the INEOS 1:59 Twitter account, Kipchoge revealed his daily routine and performance secrets ahead of the sub-two-hour marathon attempt.
When asked about his sleeping habits, Kipchoge disclosed that he sleeps eight hours at night and takes a two-hour nap during the day, totaling 10 hours of sleep daily.
"My average sleeping hours is 10 hours. I sleep for eight hours at night, and two during the day," Kipchoge said.
When asked who his greatest competitor was in his career, Kipchoge humbly answered, "myself".
"My favourite competitor is myself. I am racing against myself," Kipchoge submitted.
Kenyans will be watching with bated breath as Kipchoge attempts to break yet another world record in Vienna, adding to his list of accolades.
