Senegal captain Sadio Mane has emphasized the importance of delivering their best performance against Uganda in the Africa Cup of Nations round of 16 on July 5, 2019, at the Cairo International Stadium.

Mane, who has been in sublime form, scoring goals and helping his teammates, is eager to extend his scoring form onto AFCON and win his country its first continental cup.

Having already found himself joint-leading scorer along with 10 other players, including teammate Mohamed Salah, Mane is well on track to making history with his country.

"We saw the kind of football they played against Egypt and they are a very good side. We must be at our best against Uganda," Mane declared in the pre-match press conference.

Mane missed out on the first game against Tanzania while serving his suspension, but he is now back and ready to lead his team to victory.

Aliou Cisse's men will lock horns with the Cranes at 10pm East African Time for a spot in the quarterfinals.

It will be Senegal's third East African nation in the 32nd edition after they thrashed Tanzania (2-0) and Kenya (3-0) at the group stage of the biennial tournament.
