Nigeria's AFCON Hopes Hit a Roadblock

Nigeria's Super Eagles will be without their skipper John Obi Mikel for their grand Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tie against Cameroon's Indomitable Lions in Alexandria on Saturday evening.

According to head coach Gernot Rohr, Mikel picked up a knee injury during training and is unlikely to play in the match.

However, Rohr is optimistic about the team's chances, citing their previous victories against Cameroon in the 2018 World Cup qualifiers.

Cameroon, on the other hand, is looking to defend their title and has been unbeaten in the group stages.

Despite the absence of Mikel, Nigeria's coach is confident that the team can compete with the top teams in the tournament.
