Kenya Simbas head coach Paul Odera has made eight changes to the team's Elgon Cup squad, ahead of the second leg against Uganda.
Four Kabras players, who featured in the first leg, are away sharpening their skills in South Africa, while five Chipu players are on international duty in Brazil.
Andrew Amonde has been recalled to the squad, and Jacob Ojee will make his first appearance for the Simbas this year on 13th July at the Kyadondo Rugby Club.
“Andrew will add some power into the back row as he also gates the powerful runners that Uganda had, Curtis Lilako will come off the bench at tighthead while Jacob Ojee’s pace and experience will be very invaluable to the team,” said Odera.
Other new additions to the squad include Melvin Thairu and Fidel Oloo.
With the inclusion of senior players, the team gains much-needed experience on the pitch, which will be crucial in decision-making.
Backs Coach Albertus Van Buuren will take charge of the team in Odera's absence, assisted by Director of Rugby Thomas Odundo.
The team's management has also undergone changes, with Fahad Adil taking up the Team Manager role and Jimmy Mnene being replaced by Fahad Adil.
