July 5, 2019 - Jamaican reggae sensation Jah Cure has touched down in Kenya for the first leg of his 'The Royal Soldier Tour', a global tour that has already seen him perform in several international cities.

As part of his visit, Jah Cure will be the main act at the Umoja Splash Festival, set to take place on Saturday at Uhuru Gardens in Nairobi. The event will also feature local reggae artistes, including Jah Watchman of Dohty Family, Nutty Bwoy, Musikal Sherriff, and Teargas, alongside DJs Moh, Zionites, and Nutty Konshens.

During his one-week stay in the country, Jah Cure plans to engage in various activities in Nairobi's ghettos, with a focus on impacting the lives of the local community.

Speaking at a conference on Thursday, Jah Cure expressed his excitement about being back in Africa and Kenya, stating, 'You don't even know how happy I am to be back in Africa, back in Kenya. There's never a better time. There's never a better place. I think here in Kenya I have a connection, that's why besides the performance, I want to do something for the society in Kenya, something good that I can be remembered for in Kenya.'

Jah Cure has been on 'The Royal Soldier Tour' since the beginning of the year, with performances in several international cities, including the capital cities of Bahamas, Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. The tour has seen him perform to sold-out crowds and has cemented his status as a global reggae icon.
