AFCON 2019: Sebastien Migne Returns to France After Harambee Stars Exit ¶
Sebastien Migne, the head coach of Harambee Stars, has returned to France after the team's exit from the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
According to Goal.com, Migne had left the team in Cairo, Egypt, and returned to France for a one-week break.
During his absence, the team was eliminated from the tournament after losing to Benin in a 1-1 draw, which meant they failed to qualify for the round of 16.
Under Migne's leadership, Harambee Stars had managed to defeat Tanzania, but losses to Algeria and Senegal ultimately led to their exit from the tournament.
Other players who were part of the team that was eliminated include Michael Olunga, who plays for Kashiwa Reysol in Japan, and Ayub Timbe, who plays for Beijing Renhe in China.
It is reported that Migne may have been sent on leave, but the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has not confirmed the allegations.
As the team returns to Kenya, fans are left to wonder what the future holds for Harambee Stars.
