On July 3, 2019, a devastating tragedy occurred off the coast of Tunisia when a boat carrying more than 70 migrants capsized, resulting in a significant loss of life.
According to the Tunisian Red Crescent, the boat sank off the town of Zarzis, with four initial survivors being rescued by the Tunisian coast guard.
Unfortunately, one of the four survivors later succumbed to their injuries in hospital, leaving no further information available.
This tragic incident is a stark reminder of the dangers faced by migrants attempting to cross the Mediterranean in search of a better life.
