July 4, 2019, marked a day of frustration for many Tecno Mobile users. The Chinese vendor had earlier surprised many by including the Tecno Spark 3 Pro in the Android Q beta testing program in May 2019.
However, this move has not translated to a seamless Android OS upgrade experience for Tecno users. As of this writing, none of the company's devices has received Android Pie through a software update.
Disgruntled users have taken to the official Tecno Forums to express their dissatisfaction with the lack of major Android OS updates from the company.
"When will Tecno ever let someone update Android versions to 9.0 like other phones [from] Samsung, Huawei and the rest," one frustrated user commented.
"Please when are we getting Android 9 Pie update and font with HiOS 5? Tecno please try to upgrade to make your customers happy," another user notes.
Meanwhile, users of devices like the Infinix Note 5, Note 5 Stylus, and Infinix Smart 2 Pro have already made the switch to Pie.
