On the eve of his passing, former Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore received a poignant visit from President Uhuru Kenyatta at his Nairobi home, it has been revealed.

According to Jeff Koinange's JK Live show, the president's visit was prompted by doctors' predictions that Collymore would not live long enough in his long battle with cancer.

Collymore had shared the news of his impending death with his 'boys club' during a dinner date last Tuesday, telling them, 'Guys I only have a couple of weeks to live, maybe three or four. This thing is not working I have ran out of option.'

Despite his friends' urging to seek further medical treatment, Collymore had made up his mind to focus on spending his final days with his family in Kenya.

President Kenyatta returned to Collymore's home a week later to condole the widow and family after learning of his death on Monday morning.
