Bob Collymore's Widow Honors His Wish at Memorial Service

On July 4, 2019, the All Saints Cathedral in Nairobi was filled with mourners gathered to celebrate the life of the late Bob Collymore.

His widow, Wambui Kamiru, had requested that those attending the memorial service not wear black, as she wanted to focus on celebrating her husband's life rather than mourning his passing.

Jeff Koinange, the MC for the ceremony, had announced Wambui's request the day before, saying, 'JEFF, TELL PEOPLE NOT TO WEAR BLACK TOMORROW FOR THE MEMORIAL. WE ARE NOT MOURNING BOB, WE ARE CELEBRATING HIM.'

True to her word, Wambui walked into the cathedral dressed in a beautiful blue and white floral dress, covered in a white sweater. She gave a warm smile to the familiar faces she saw, showing her appreciation for their time and presence.
