On July 1, 2019, the nation lost a true gentleman, Bob Collymore, who succumbed to cancer. His cremation took place on July 2, as per his wish.
Betty Kyallo, a K24 presenter, had the opportunity to interact with Bob Collymore during his lifetime. One of their encounters was particularly memorable, as he gave her his jacket during an interview at KTN.
As Bob Collymore said, 'You know if my grandmother was alive, she would not allow me to sit here and watch you be soo cold. I have you to give you my jacket.'
He then helped Betty put on the jacket, saying, 'Can I give you my jacket? You look cold. Is that okay? It’s because of my grandmother. She wouldn’t be happy.'
Betty was touched by Bob's kindness and replied, 'That’s really kind of you Bob.'
Years later, Betty Kyallo has shared this heartwarming memory, describing Bob as a true gentleman. She wrote, 'You were great Bob, a true gentleman. This video was one of the fond encounters I had with him. It was quite a pleasure having this interview with him. May you rest well.'
