On the eve of her husband's memorial service, Wambui Collymore, the wife of the late Safaricom CEO Bob Collymore, issued a unique dress code to those attending the event. The service, scheduled for today at the All Saints Cathedral, is expected to be a celebration of Bob's life, rather than a traditional mourning ceremony.

According to Wambui, she asked Jeff Koinange, the host of the JKL show, to announce that instead of the usual black attire worn at funerals, attendees should wear colourful clothes. This request was made in light of the fact that the memorial service is not a time for mourning, but rather a time to celebrate Bob's life.

“Please don’t wear black. Wear colourful clothes because we are not mourning but celebrating his life,” Wambui told Jeff.

Bob Collymore's memorial service is set to start at exactly 10 am, and is open to everyone. The event will be moderated by Jeff Koinange, and is expected to be a fitting tribute to the late CEO, who passed away on Monday after a brave battle with Myeloid Leukemia.
