Wambui Kamiru, the widow of Bob Collymore, has spoken publicly for the first time since his passing on July 3, 2019, at the age of 61.

She expressed her gratitude to Kenyans for their love and support during a difficult time, saying she was 'overwhelmed by all the love and beautiful messages' she had received.

'It is a true testament to the character of the special man I was lucky to love,' she tweeted.

Wambui also thanked Kenyans for their condolences, saying she had read and received their warmth.

Bob Collymore was cremated on July 3, 2019, at the Hindu Shamsan Bhumi Crematorium in Kariokor, Nairobi.
