On July 1, 2019, Kenya lost a business leader in Bob Collymore, the CEO of Safaricom. His passing has left a void in the business community, with many paying tribute to his legacy.
Wambui Kamiru Collymore, Bob's wife, has spoken out for the first time since his death, taking to Twitter to express her gratitude to those who have supported her during this difficult time.
"I am overwhelmed by all the love and beautiful messages I have been receiving from you all here. It is a true testament to the character of the special man I was lucky to love. I can’t respond to all your messages but know that I have read and received your warmth. Thank you," she tweeted.
Wambui was seen dressed in a grey blazer, white blouse, and a dark blue skirt as she attended a private ceremony to bid farewell to her late husband at the Lee Funeral home. She was accompanied by family members as they made their way to the Hindu Shamsan Bhumi Crematorium in Kariokor.
