July 3, 2019 - The Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Egypt is taking a two-day break ahead of the last 16 matches, set to kick off this Friday with two games on card.
Morocco, who finished top of group D, will kick-start the last 16 stage against Benin, who qualified as one of the four third-placed teams in the event.
Uganda, who finished second behind Egypt in group A, will take on Senegal, who also finished second in group C.
Other last 16 matches to be played over the weekend include Nigeria against Cameroon, hosts Egypt against South Africa, Madagascar verses DRC, Algeria against Guinea, Mali face Ivory Coast, and Ghana play Tunisia.
Meanwhile, Mali advanced to the last 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations as Group E winners after beating Angola 1-0 in Ismailia.
Amadou Haidara scored the game's only goal, finding the net with a fierce drive from outside the area.
Mali made eight changes to the side that drew 1-1 with Tunisia on Friday and rode their luck early on.
