Published on July 3, 2019, a man believed to have stowed away on a Kenya Airways flight from Nairobi to London has been identified as possibly being an airport employee.

The man, whose identity has not been disclosed, is thought to have fallen from the landing gear of the plane into a London garden, where his body was later found.

According to Gilbert Kibe, the director general of the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority, the suspected stowaway likely had legitimate access to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, allowing him to access the undercarriage of the plane.
