Safaricom branches across the country will be closed on July 4, 2019, from 4 am to 8 pm in honor of the late Bob Collymore.

Collymore, who was the CEO of Safaricom, passed away on July 1, 2019, at his home in Kitisuru, Nairobi, after a long battle with leukemia.

He was 61 years old at the time of his death.

Collymore had been the CEO of Safaricom since 2000 and played a crucial role in the company's growth and success.

His body was laid to rest on July 2, 2019, in a private ceremony held in Nairobi.

A memorial service for Collymore is expected to be held at the All Saints Cathedral in Nairobi on July 4, 2019, where Kenyans will pay their last respects to the late CEO.
