On August 24, 2021, a shocking discovery was made in Utawala, Nairobi, when a police instructor at the National Police College B Campus in Embakasi was found dead at a quarry.

The deceased, Mr. Joseph Maghanga, was a police instructor who was found dead at the quarry, sparking a murder investigation.

According to a police OB report, the body was discovered by Wilberforce Ambenyi, a resident of Utawala, who reported seeing a male adult lying at the quarry near the Eastern bypass opposite Tripple O.

Forensic analysis at the scene revealed that the deceased had a deep cut on the forehead and was found with two techno phones, one with a cracked screen and the other with several missed calls.

The police station is approximately 6 kilometers from the quarry, and the body was taken to the Kenyatta University Morgue for autopsy.
