August 24, 2021 - Andela, a leading developer learning community, has achieved a major milestone with over 100,000 learners joining its platform. The Andela Learning Community (ALC) was launched in 2017 with the goal of providing equal opportunities for engineers across the globe.

Since its inception, the ALC has partnered with top learning institutions, including Pluralsight, Google, Facebook, Salesforce, and Microsoft, to offer in-demand technology courses to engineers at all stages of their careers. The platform also connects engineers to employment opportunities through its job network initiative.

According to Agnes Muthoni, Director of the Andela Learning Community, the 100,000+ learners milestone is a significant achievement, demonstrating the company's ability to build talent not only across Africa but globally, spanning six continents and nearly 100 countries.

Alongside this milestone, Andela has launched a new public community, enabling engineers to access additional learning resources, connect with mentors, and source career opportunities. Tania Medina, Director of Talent Growth Marketing, expressed excitement about the global availability of the ALC, stating, 'We are pleased to offer more collaborative learning and career opportunities, which we hope will set a practical pathway for engineering talent of all levels to follow.'

Andela, launched in 2014, has been deeply embedded in the African tech landscape, mirroring the agility and expertise that technology and innovation demand. To capture and share the DNA of African technologists, the company is inviting all software engineers, developers, architects, and more to participate in a 15-minute 2021 Africa Developer survey, open until September 30, 2021.
