Kenya Morans, the country's national basketball team, is set to compete in the 2021 Fiba AfroBasket championship, which tips off on Tuesday at the Kigali Arena in Rwanda.

Coach Liz Mills has released her final squad of 12 players, after dropping two players from the initial 14 who travelled to Rwanda last Saturday.

The dropped players are shooting guard Faheem Juma and point guard Victor Bosire, who were part of the team that qualified for the championship after finishing behind Senegal and Angola in Group B during the AfroBasket qualifiers in Cameroon earlier this year.

The team now has three point guards in Griffin Ligare, Joseph Khaemba, and Derrick Ogechi, and will face off against Cote d'Ivoire on Wednesday, Nigeria on Friday, and Mali on Sunday in Group C.

Kenya Morans have played two buildup friendly matches against Senegal and Uganda, losing both.

The final squad includes Griffin Ligare, Joseph Khaemba, Derrick Ogechi, Erick Mutoro, Albert Onyango, Tylor Ongwae, Valentine Nyakinda, Ariel Okal Koranga, Ronnie Gundo, Fidel Okoth, Tom Bush Wamukota, and Desmond Owili.
