On August 23, 2021, comedian Eric Omondi made headlines after sharing his new rate card charges on social media. According to the self-proclaimed president of comedy, anyone who needs his entertainment services will have to spend at least Ksh500,000.

However, if Eric decides to perform shirtless, the fee increases to Ksh750,000. This might be a significant blow to club owners, especially those who rely on celebrity appearances to attract customers.

Eric's new rate card comes after his grand performance at Roxy Lounge in Utawala, Nairobi, which drew a large crowd. He was escorted by heavily built bouncers and announced that in his next appearance, his security team would be dressed in unique clothes.

Unfortunately, Eric's arrival at the event was not as dramatic as promised, as he arrived in a Range Rover instead of a chopper due to unavoidable circumstances.

While some of his fellow celebrities and fans applauded Eric for his 'big move', others questioned whether he was trying to emulate Tanzanian artiste Diamond Platnumz, known for his shirtless performances.
