Massawe Japanni Faces Backlash

Popular radio presenter Massawe Japanni has faced a backlash from Kenyans after criticizing celebrities for posting private chats with the late Safaricom CEO Robert Collymore.

Collymore passed away in July 2019, and since then, many celebrities have taken to social media to share their memories and private chats with him.

However, Massawe Japanni felt that the celebrities were going too far by sharing private chats, and she expressed her opinion on social media.

She wrote, 'So now guys are publishing private chats with Bob on social media? NKT! Are you that desperate to prove association? It was private…Pleeeeeease!!!'

But instead of getting support, Massawe Japanni faced a backlash from Kenyans who felt that she was being insensitive and jealous.

Many people took to social media to defend the celebrities and share their own memories of Collymore.

One user wrote, 'I think people are only posting those messages (which are all positive BTW) to show the world just how kind this man was… Which makes the rest of us learn from him also.'

Another user wrote, 'Let people mourn Bob their way. Am sure if you had a picture of him or those chats we would be reading them now.!!!!!! Enyewe nini husumbua wewe Massawe????????Kuuliza tu.?'

Massawe Japanni's criticism of the celebrities has sparked a heated debate on social media, with many people defending the right of the celebrities to share their memories and private chats with Collymore.
