Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua turned 51 years old on August 22, 2021, in a celebration that brought together well-known celebrities and politicians.
Among the guests was his recently divorced wife, Lilian Ng'ang'a, who wished him a long life in a brief Instagram note.
“Cheers to 51 and another 51 cheers. Happy birthday,” she wrote.
Despite their recent divorce, Lilian and Mutua were spotted having a word with ODM leader Raila Odinga at the joint birthday party and concert, which was also attended by Tanzanian musician Rayvanny.
Mutua and Lilian announced their 10-year marriage had ended just two months prior to the birthday celebration.
They both expressed gratitude for the good memories created during their relationship, with Lilian stating they remained friends and Mutua saying they would continue to talk, meet, and share ideas.
