On August 22, 2021, the World Athletics Under-20 Championship witnessed a thrilling steeplechase event, where Kenyan athlete Amos Serem showcased his exceptional skills to claim the gold medal.

With a blistering finish, Serem crossed the finish line in 8:30.72, leaving his competitors far behind.

As he secured his victory, Serem couldn't resist the urge to celebrate, waving at the crowd and urging them to raise their voices in support.

Adding to his triumph, Serem re-created the famous 'Kemboi dance', a celebratory jig made famous by former Olympic and World Champion Ezekiel Kemboi.

Simon Koech secured the bronze medal with a time of 8:33.15, while Ethiopia's Tadese Tekele took the silver medal.
