According to the report, the cost of repairing a foldable smartphone can range from Ksh 12,000 to Ksh 50,000 or more, depending on the model and the extent of the damage. For instance, the screen of the Galaxy Z Fold 3, which has the largest diagonal screen, can cost up to Ksh 50,000 to repair, while the screen of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 can cost around Ksh 40,000.
It's worth noting that Samsung has revised its tariff grid for repairing foldable smartphones, with the screen of the Z Fold 2 costing Ksh 60,000 to repair and that of the Z Flip 5G costing up to Ksh 49,188. However, the cost of repairing the outer screens of these devices is significantly lower, with prices ranging from Ksh 10,000 to Ksh 16,300.
