Published on August 20, 2021, a report from Galaxy Club hinted at the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra's photography capabilities. The device is expected to follow the same formula as its predecessor, the Galaxy S21 Ultra, with two telephoto lenses, including a periscopic lens, for an incredible zoom quality.
The South Korean manufacturer has been touting its Galaxy S Ultra series for significant innovations in photography, starting with the S20 Ultra and then the S21 Ultra. It appears that the S22 Ultra will continue this trend, offering an optical zoom of up to 10x, similar to its predecessor.
50 Mp Sensor for Galaxy S22 and S22 Plus ¶
On the other hand, the Galaxy S22 and S22 Plus are expected to feature a 50 Mp main photosensor, a significant upgrade from the 12 Mp sensor in the Galaxy S21 and S21 Plus. This improvement is likely to enhance the rendering of photos, and Samsung is expected to exploit these new modules to improve the photo part of the devices.
