July 3, 2019 - In Cairo, Harambee Stars midfielder Francis Nyambura Kahata revealed that his move to Simba SC is nearing completion, despite reports suggesting he had already signed with the Tanzanian club.
According to Kahata, talks with Simba SC are 95 percent done, and he is waiting to finalize the deal.
As a free agent, Kahata is looking forward to a new adventure in the Tanzanian capital, where he will link up with his former teammate at K'Ogalo, Meddie Kagere.
'I haven't signed yet, but the negotiations are progressing well. We are 95 percent done, and I'm waiting to pen the deal,' Kahata said.
He expressed his excitement about the prospect of playing with Kagere, stating, 'It's a joy to play with Meddie Kagere. I played with him at Gor Mahia, and he's a good striker. I think playing with him at Simba will be a motivating factor.'
Despite a disappointing AFCON campaign, where he was substituted in Harambee Stars' 2-0 defeat to Algeria and did not feature in the 3-0 defeat to Senegal, Kahata maintains that he has gained valuable experience from the tournament.
