On July 2, 2019, Kenyan businessman Raphael Ongangi, who was abducted eight days earlier in Dar es Salaam, was found alive in Mombasa, his wife confirmed.

Ongangi, a cargo logistics business owner in Tanzania, was kidnapped on June 24, 2019, at around 9:30 pm.

His wife, Veronica Kundya, spoke with The Citizen on July 2, 2019, and expressed gratitude to those who helped locate her husband.

"I am in a hurry and I cannot say much now. But I thank God and everyone who played a role in helping me trace my husband," Ms. Kundya said.
