Published on July 2, 2019, Cameroon and Benin played out a goalless draw in their final Group F match at the Africa Cup of Nations.

The result allowed both sides to progress into the last 16, with Cameroon finishing second in the group and setting up a meeting with Nigeria.

Benin, meanwhile, qualified as one of the four best third-placed teams and will have to wait to find out their next opponents.

Cameroon came closest to scoring, with Ambroise Oyongo and Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting both seeing their efforts saved by Benin's goalkeeper Saturnin Allagbe.

Benin's best chance fell to Stephane Sessegnon, who struck a free-kick narrowly wide.

Elsewhere, Ghana beat Guinea-Bissau 2-0 and will face the second-placed team from Group E.

The final group games take place on Wednesday, with Mali already through and Tunisia, Angola, and Mauritania still in contention to progress.
