On July 2, 2019, the body of Bob Collymore, the former CEO of Safaricom, left Lee Funeral Home in Nairobi for the final rites at the Kariokor Crematorium.
Friends and relatives gathered at Lee to bid the giant telco boss goodbye, with many paying their last respects to the late Collymore.
As reported by @citizentvkenya on July 2, 2019, Collymore will be cremated in a private interment process.
The hearse carrying his body was escorted by police outriders and made its way to Kariokor on Tuesday morning under tight security.
Collymore, who succumbed to cancer at his home in the wee hours of July 1, 2019, had been battling with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) for almost two years.
He leaves behind a wife and four children.
