On Sunday, a man fell from a Kenya Airways flight as it approached Heathrow Airport in London, sparking a dramatic scene that has left authorities scrambling to identify the deceased.
According to Scotland Yard, the man's death is not being treated as suspicious, but investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding his fall.
Witnesses described the scene as 'shocking' and 'surreal', with the body landing just a few feet from a man asleep in his back garden in Clapham.
Despite the 3,500-foot fall, the man's body was found to be frozen and nearly intact, with a significant amount of blood found in the surrounding area.
Police and ambulance services arrived quickly on the scene, and a post-mortem examination is set to be conducted to determine the cause of death.
Initial investigations suggest that the man may have been a stowaway who fell from the landing gear of the Kenya Airways flight, which originated from Nairobi.
A bag, water, and some food were discovered in the landing gear compartment once the flight landed at Heathrow Airport.
This incident is not the first of its kind, with a similar incident occurring in 2012 when Jose Matada, 26, from Mozambique, died after falling from a Heathrow-bound British Airways flight originating from Angola.
