July 2, 2019 - A cartel has been exposed at the Lands Ministry, with Faridah Karoney and Nicholas Muraguri at the center of a bitter power struggle.

According to sources, the cartel has been fleecing the public, with Karoney and Muraguri on opposite sides of the battle.

Faridah Karoney, the Cabinet Secretary for Lands and Physical Planning, is said to be allied with William Ruto's side in the current Jubilee government battle.

On the other hand, Principal Secretary Nicholas Muraguri has been linked to powerful individuals surrounding Uhuru Kenyatta in government.

With the current wars on Jubilee government, cartels that used to call shots are capitalizing on it to make a major comeback.

Senior officers at the Lands Ministry, including Esther Ogega, John Maina, and Augustine Masinde, have been accused of influencing allies who had been transferred from headquarters to counties back to headquarters to cut deals and mint millions.

Augustine Masinde, the Director of Physical Planning, has been accused of facilitating corruption at the Lands Ministry, including the dubious payments of millions of shillings to the Ruaraka land scam in Nairobi.

Investigations into the Ruaraka land scam have hit the rocks, with powerful names in Jubilee government linked to the dubious payments.
