Published on July 2, 2019, Kenya's fate in the Africa Cup of Nations hangs in the balance as they rely on other teams to secure their spot in the round of 16.

Senegal's convincing 3-0 win over Kenya at the Air Defence stadium in Egypt has left the latter with a slim chance of progressing as one of the best third-placed teams.

Senegal's top player, Sadio Mane, scored his first two goals at the tournament, while Ismaila Sarr broke the deadlock in the 63rd minute.

Senegal will face Uganda in the knockout round on Friday, while Kenya waits anxiously to see if they will join the last 16 teams, which include Egypt, Nigeria, Algeria, Morocco, Madagascar, Uganda, Ivory Coast, and Senegal.

On the other hand, teams that have been eliminated from the tournament are Tanzania, Burundi, Zimbabwe, and Namibia.
