Radio presenters Kamene Goro and Andrew Kibe have found themselves in a legal battle with their former employer, NRG, since they joined KISS 100's breakfast show in July 2019.

According to court documents, NRG is seeking to enforce a non-compete clause in the presenters' contracts, which they claim they breached by joining a competing radio station.

NRG is seeking a temporary order to prevent Kamene and Kibe from working for any other radio station in Kenya or engaging in any business that competes with NRG's business.

However, Kamene and Kibe's current employer, Radio Africa, has vowed to defend them against the lawsuit.

Radio Africa's CEO, Patrick Quarcoo, has stated that the company will 'aggressively defend our employees on this suit.'

Kamene Goro has expressed her uncertainty about her future, saying 'I don’t exactly know what the future holds for me at this point, but I can guarantee I’m moving forward with aggressive Grit, anchored fully in Grace.'

Despite the uncertainty, Radio Africa remains committed to defending its employees against NRG's lawsuit.
