On July 2, 2019, Safaricom's board made a crucial decision in the wake of Bob Collymore's passing, appointing Michael Joseph as the interim Chief Executive Officer with immediate effect.
Mr. Joseph, a seasoned executive and board member of the company, will hold the position until the board finds a permanent appointment.
As a former chief executive of Safaricom, Mr. Joseph brings a wealth of experience to the role, having retired in November 2010.
