On July 2, 2019, Maktaba Mashinani Foundation and Moran Publishers launched a partnership to promote education in rural areas of Kenya. The initiative aims to improve education standards in Central and Western regions by providing learning materials to poor schools.

As part of the partnership, Moran Publishers has donated books worth over Sh10 million to Maktaba Mashinani Foundation. The learning materials, which include teaching guides, story books, and educational toys, were handed over to Wangatabuthi Primary School in Ol Kalou.

According to Eunice Njoki, the founder of Maktaba Mashinani Foundation, the organisation plans to build modern libraries for rural communities. Njoki expressed gratitude to Moran Publishers for their support, stating that the donation will go a long way in promoting education in rural areas.

“Moran Publishers is one of the leading publishing houses in Kenya, and their support is invaluable to our mission,” Njoki said. “We are still looking for more donations and partnerships to ensure that every child has access to relevant reading content.”

Timothy Kamau, a representative of Moran Publishers, echoed Njoki's sentiments, stating that the firm is committed to improving education standards countrywide.
