July 2, 2019, marked a disappointing day for the Harambee Stars as they fell to a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Senegal in the ongoing AFCON 2019 tournament.

Liverpool ace Sadio Mane was instrumental in the win, scoring a brace that sealed Senegal's spot in the last 16.

Mane had a first-half penalty saved by Kenya goalkeeper Patrick Matasi, but he made no mistake in his second attempt, securing a 2-0 lead for Senegal before the break.

Senegal's Ismaila Sarr opened the scoring, and Mane's second goal ensured a comfortable win for the Lions of Teranga.

Kenya?? 0-3?? Senegal We are still in it though, pending Tuesday's final round of matches #Tunaweza #HarambeeStars #AFCON2019 — Harambee Stars (@harambee__stars) July 1, 2019

Despite the loss, Kenya still has a chance to qualify for the last 16 via the best four third-spot finishers from the six AFCON groups, depending on the final results in Group E and F's final games.
