Six Arraigned for Hosting Bhang-Smoking Competition in Murang'a

On July 1, 2019, six suspects were arraigned before a Kigumo court in Murang'a, accused of hosting a bhang-smoking competition at a local club.

The suspects, who were arrested during the competition, denied charges of being in possession of 146 rolls of bhang.

According to the police, the group had organized a party at Le Zeros club dubbed 'Rasta Man Prayer Party' where entry was rolls of bhang.

The court denied the suspects bond and directed that they be held for seven more days pending completion of investigations.
