Manchester United Striker Signs New Contract ¶
Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford has signed a new four-year contract with the club, tying him to Old Trafford until June 2023.
At just 21 years old, Rashford has already made a significant impact at the club, having joined at the age of seven and progressing through the youth ranks to make his first-team debut in February 2016, at just 18 years old.
According to reports, Rashford was initially hesitant to sign a new contract unless he received a significant wage increase, reportedly £300,000 per week.
However, it appears that the club has met his demands, and Rashford has committed to the club for the long-term.
"Manchester United has helped me develop as a player and as a person, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to represent the club," Rashford said in a statement.
"The club has been like a family to me since I joined at the age of seven, and I'm proud to be a part of it," he added.
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has also praised Rashford, describing him as one of the most talented young players in the country.
"Rashford is one of the most talented young players in the country, and we're delighted to have him at the club," Solskjaer said.
