On July 14, 2021, High Court Judge Julius Ngaah issued an order blocking the prosecution of LSK boss Nelson Havi until a case challenging his criminal charges is determined.

The order was issued in an urgent application filed by former Magistrate Bryan Khaemba.

Nelson Havi was held at DCI headquarters and later released on a Sh10,000 police bond after being charged with assaulting LSK CEO Mercy Wambua.

The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) had sought to have Havi charged with the alleged assault.
