On July 1, 2019, Barcelona announced that midfielder Denis Suarez would be returning to his boyhood club Celta Vigo.
The transfer, which was agreed upon by both clubs, will see Celta Vigo pay Barcelona 12.9 million euros ($14.66 million) plus 3.1 million euros in variables.
Barcelona expressed gratitude to Suarez for his commitment and dedication, wishing him luck and success in his future endeavors.
Originally from Celta Vigo, Suarez joined Barcelona's reserve team in 2013 and eventually broke into the first team in 2016, making 16 La Liga starts in two campaigns.
However, Suarez's second spell in England with Arsenal was marred by injuries, limiting his appearances to six substitute appearances.
