Published on July 1, 2019, ahead of their Africa Cup of Nations Group C encounter, Harambee Stars coach Sebastien Migne and Senegal counterpart Aliou Cisse have been involved in a bitter war of words.
The two teams are set to face off on Monday, July 1, at the 30 June Stadium in a match that could decide who between them seals an automatic place in the last 16 of the competition.
Speaking in his pre-match conference, Migne suggested Senegal players' weak mentality ahead of the clash could give his side an edge over the Lions of Teranga.
However, in a quick rejoinder, Cisse has come out to express his disappointment with Migne's remarks, questioning the Stars' coach knowledge about his wards mentality.
"What does he [Migne] know about the mentality of Senegal?" fumed Cisse. "What does he know about our players? How can he say that we don't have the right mentality?" Cisse posed.
Senegal, who were widely tipped as tournament favourites, currently sit second on Group C with three points behind Algeria who lead with six.
Kenya are third with three points following their stunning 3-2 comeback win against Tanzania on Thursday, June 27.
