On June 29, 2019, Ulinzi Ladies secured the netball title at the Ushirika Sports tournament, held at Stima Grounds in Ruaraka, Nairobi.
The annual three-day event brought together Saving and Credit Co-Operatives teams to compete in various disciplines, including volleyball, football, basketball, netball, and golf.
Ulinzi Ladies emerged victorious in the women's netball category, beating Sauti Sacco 40-34 in a closely contested match.
Meanwhile, in the men's category, Magereza Sacco dominated Mathare 4 North with a 45-21 win.
Police secured the men's volleyball title by defeating Magereza Sacco 3-1, while Magereza Sacco saved face by beating CIC in the women's volleyball category.
Robert Mbugua's brace helped Sheria Sacco defeat UN Sacco 2-0 in the men's football final.
Jimmy Kimondo topped the men's golf leaderboard with 37 points, while Eunice Kilonzo won the ladies title with 34 points. However, the overall title went to Sho Onyango with 41 points.
