On Friday night, a tragic incident occurred in Kahawa Wendani estate, Nairobi, where Felix Otieno, a final-year pharmacy student at Kenyatta University, lost his life in a senseless act of violence.
According to reports, Otieno had gone to visit his girlfriend at her residence when unknown assailants stormed the house and killed him. His girlfriend was not present at the time of the incident.
It is alleged that Otieno was playing a video game with a friend when the criminals fired twice at him, resulting in excessive bleeding that led to his death.
Ruiru Police Commander James Ngetich has confirmed that officers are investigating the motive behind the killing, stating, "There are many issues coming up but we are hoping to unravel the reasons. We need to know who the killers are if they were robbers and why they picked on the student (Otieno).">
Detecives from the Special Crimes Prevention Unit are assisting in the investigations to bring the perpetrators to justice.
