On a typical Friday, the Hola town mosque was the scene of chaos as worshipers scrambled to leave after a suspicious object was discovered among the shoes at the entrance.
According to eyewitnesses, a worshiper spotted the object, which was later found to be a metallic container filled with tobacco, and alerted the police.
As news spread that a potential explosive had been found, the imam leading the midday prayers was left alone inside the mosque as worshipers stampeded out in panic.
Police quickly secured the area and investigated the container, discovering a homemade device attached to it that was used to funnel out the tobacco.
The incident has raised concerns about the need for vigilance and awareness among worshipers to prevent such incidents in the future.
