Kenyan international midfielder Francis Kahata is reportedly set to join Tanzanian champions Simba SC, having agreed on a three-year deal in principle.
According to reports, Kahata met with Simba officials in Cairo, Egypt, where he is part of the Kenyan team competing in the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, and the deal was reportedly agreed upon during this meeting.
Under the terms of the deal, Kahata will receive a Sh4 million signing bonus, a monthly salary of Sh350,000, and a fully furnished house.
At 28 years old, Kahata has won three league titles during his four-year stay at Gor Mahia, and has been on Simba's radar for the better part of the last year.
Simba has also signed two Brazilians, Gerson Fraga Viera and Wilker Henrique da Silva, as well as Sudan international Shiboub Ali Abdalrahman, in recent times.
