On June 30, 2019, Software Group, a global software company with African operations based in Kenya, announced the appointment of Connor Hanan as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the region.
Mr. Hanan, who previously served as the company's Key Global Accounts Manager, brings over 11 years of experience in financial services, particularly in affordable shelter solutions for developing contexts.
“Within this sector, he helped establish operations, partnerships, and small businesses across approximately 35 markets in Europe, Central Asia, the Middle East, and Africa,” a statement to newsrooms revealed.
As the CEO of Africa operations, Mr. Hanan will oversee the region's sales and manage the Kenya and Ghana teams of over 60 employees.
Software Group currently works with more than 65 clients in Africa, including banks, insurance companies, microfinance institutions, and savings and credit cooperatives.
“The African financial ecosystem is a place of constant change; new frontiers of opportunity are being identified and rapidly accessed. It is no longer appropriate to think only of delivery channels for market penetration – one must be agile and strategic,” Mr. Hanan said.
