President Uhuru Kenyatta's leadership has come under intense scrutiny as a recent poll by Infotrak has revealed that a majority of Kenyans feel the country is headed in the wrong direction.

According to the poll, 48% of Kenyans believe the country is headed in the wrong direction due to poor leadership, high cost of living, and corruption.

Infotrak's Angela Ambitho released the poll results on June 30, 2019, which also showed that only 34% of Kenyans are satisfied with the current leadership.

Furthermore, 26% of those polled blamed President Uhuru Kenyatta for the country's economic woes, while 15% blamed all politicians and 11% blamed President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto.

It is worth noting that the poll was conducted after the 2019-2020 budget was passed, which included an increase in the value-added tax (VAT).
