On June 30, 2019, a heated Twitter exchange erupted between Moses Kuria, a Member of Parliament for Gatundu South, and Miguna Miguna, a prominent activist.
Miguna Miguna accused Moses Kuria of being one of the corrupt individuals responsible for serious crimes in Kenya, including the murder of Chris Musando, the former CEO of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
Responding to the allegations, Moses Kuria called Miguna Miguna a 'big-time crook' and accused him of being involved in the illegal nomination of Raila Odinga as the opposition leader.
"Bado pia utaniapisha mimi na Baba, najua wewe ni kamshina mkuu wa viapo kwa wanaume kamili kama mimi na baba," Kuria tweeted.
The exchange sparked a fierce debate on social media, with many Kenyans expressing their shock and amusement at the exchange.
